A Valuer’s role is crucial when it comes to property negotiations. The purpose of a valuation can be for investment, buying, selling, legal purposes, insurance purposes or various other reasons.

Tips when choosing your valuer:

  • Research and referrals – look for a valuer in your area who is familiar with the market and locality.
  • Check registration details with SACPVP
  • Check its track record and experience. “The only source of knowledge is experience”
  • Valuers specialisation field – Not every valuer is master of all property valuations.
  • Cost – get the most out of your investment. Ask about available packages and determine which type suits your pocket and goals better.
